An educational trip to National Dairy Research Institute NDRI, Karnal was organised on 29th September 2018 for the students of B.Sc. Life Science III year Zoology. Students under the guidance of Dr. (Mrs.) Kamaljeet Dabas and accompanying faculty members visited NDRI, Karnal campus where they were familiarised with techniques of cattle breeding and various indigenous as well as hybrid varieties of cattle.
NDRI is devoted to study and resource development in areas of dairy production, processing and management. A tour to NDRI Dairy Extension division envisioned students with various aspects of dairy production, packaging and storage of traditional milk and milk products. Students were showcased a comprehensive exhibition & video conference elaborating the technical aspects of dairy production and scientific activities undertaken at NDRI including career options in the field. The trip culminated with a visit to serene Karna Lake which made the experience rejuvenating to all.
