History was introduced to the students of Sri Aurobindo College, since its establishment in 1972. Same year, Dr. Javinder Singh, joined History department, as a faculty member. It is simply one of the 5 disciplines in BA (pass) course and later, improvised BA (Prog.) course. The faculty members with different areas of specialization serve the department holistically, in the true sense (of the word).
