The Commerce Department of Sri Aurobindo College organized its annual commerce fest, TRGOVINA on 13 – 14 March 2018. The College was privileged to have Dr. P.C. Jain, the former principal of Sri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University, as the distinguished guest for the inaugural session. His address to the students on the importance of hard-work, self- confidence and integrity was instrumental in giving the right-spirited start to the fest. The two-day fest was comprised of various events such as the financial cricket (Stumped), Debate (Razprava), Treasure Hunt (Finders Keepers), Case Study (Crack your brain), Mock stock (Stags not allowed), Business Quiz (Corporate Quotient) and the TV series event (Fictionary). All the events were designed in a way that encouraged teamwork among the students and required the application of classroom learning of concepts and principles of commerce and management. Students from over 25 colleges including some of the premier institutions from the North Campus participated in the fest. The total cash prize of Rs. 65000 and coupons worth Rs. 300000/- were given away. The Commerce Society of the college is happy to have pulled off yet another successful event and hopes to do even better next year.
