Aakraya Activities 2022-23

Aakraya is the Commerce Departmental Association of Sri Aurobindo College. It has been actively operating for over 6 years and is undoubtedly one of the most reliable and productive societies of the college.

Under the guidance of Dr.Vipin Agarwal (principal) and Dr. Anjali Bhatnagar, (faculty convener) and with the support of the faculty of Commerce, Aakraya organised the following events in 2017 and 2018:

• Chat with a Diplomat - A talk given by a diplomat of the United States on America, on US and India: relations
• Industrial visit to National Small Industries Corporation
• Visit to Securities Exchange Board of India
• Visit to Securities Exchange Board of India
• Effortless handling of background work in the most coveted event, "National Seminar 2017" and "National Seminar 2018" along with managing operations and logistics
• The Annual Commerce Fest "Trgovina 2017" and "Trgovina 2018" which witnessed massive participation by the students from SRCC, LSR, Sri Venkateswara College, Shaheed Bhagat Singh and 30 other colleges in and around Delhi
• Commerce Department Freshers' Day by the name "Comienzo" in 2017 and "Inception"in 2018.
• Introduction of "Vanijyam" - the Commerce Department's annual magazine in 2017 and launch of its second issue in 2018
• A talk on "Mind, body and Soul: A series" by Dr. Anjali Bhatnagar
• A talk on "How to Grow Rich?" by Mr. Mukesh Jindal
• A session on the Kingfisher Airline fiasco by Professor J.P Sharma
• A talk on "Career Opportunities After Graduation" by Mr. KushalMohta in collaboration with Endeavour Pvt. Ltd.
• Commerce Department Farewell by the name "Adieu" in 2017 and 2018.
