"Swachhta Pakhwada" (1st to 15th August, 2018)


'Swachhta Pakhwada'  is a fortnight initiative to carry on the agenda of Swachh Bharat Mission, aimed at promoting cleanliness. Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) was launched by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India on 2nd October, 2014 as a mass movement to achieve the target of clean India by the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi in 2019. With reference to this, Sri Aurobindo College, has observed ‘Swachhta Pakhwada’ with full zest and enthusiasm. All NSS volunteers actively participated in ‘Sawachh Pakhwada’ as per the schedule decided by the NSS Centre from 1st to 15th August, 2018.

The following activities were conducted by the NSS unit of the college during the observance of Swachhta  Pakhwara":


- Oath(Swachhta Sahpath)

- Cleanliness drive in and outside the campus.

- Door to door campaigning and  cleanliness drive in Begumpur Slum area on Swachhta

Awareness Rally.

- cleaning of Archeological site (Lal Gumbad near Malviya Nagar)

- An interactive session amongst the NSS volunteers, Program Officer, Program Coordinators and Principal to discuss the strategies and action plans to ensure clean and eco-friendly campus.
