The student members of National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Sri Aurobindo College, University of Delhi initiated a two day campaign for 'KERELA FLOOD RELIEF' on 30th and 31st August, 2018 under the guidance of Dr. Vipin Kumar Aggarwal, the Principal and the NSS Programme-Officer Dr. Veena Rani Malhotra and teacher coordinators Ms. Kalpita Sonowal, Dr. Neetu Dwivedi, Mr. Avanish Yadav and Dr. Mukesh.

A two day campaign of ‘Collection and Awareness Drive’ was conducted in and around the college premises, followed by a street play by drama society ‘Salvation’ of the college to raise awareness and compassioin for Kerala flood victims amongst students and people living around the college campus. The aim of this campaign was to highlight the unfortunate condition of people in Kerala due to floods by putting up banners and distributing pamphlets.

The NSS volunteers requested to donate non-perishable goods like food items, clothes and other useful commodities and monetary contributions. They not only asked for donations but also persuaded the donors to donate the monetary help directly into the PMNRF or CMDRF accounts using digital medium.

The campaign witnessed voluntary contribution from students and people to rebuild Kerala again.
