The department of Political Science organized its Freshers Induction Programme on 19 September 2018. It was scheduled to formally welcome the batch of 2018-2021. The teachers and the Department Students’ Council ‘We The People’ organized an interactive session for the freshers, so that they would know more about their department, their faculty and their seniors. It was an ice-breaking session which made them feel at ease with the new environment.

It began with the lighting of the lamp followed by the words of advice for the new batch by the Principal, Dr. Vipin Kumar Aggarwal, wherein he highlighted how SAC has grown over the years. He also acknowledged the efforts of We the People members and also mentioned how students involved in organization of such events learn time management and event management. The Teacher-in-Charge, Dr. Premlata Singh welcomed them with kind and encouraging words

The programme commenced with an academic session, in which there were questions on political theory, constitution etc., that were asked in a quiz format for the freshers. It was followed by cultural events, where the students from all the three batches showcased their talents in singing, dancing and poetry recitation. There was also a segment to ascertain Miss and Mr. Fresher; Miss and Mr. Well Dressed; and Mr. Talented, which saw a good participation from the freshers. The large participation of the students in the activities marked it as a successful day.

The programme was concluded by a vote of thanks by the President of ‘We the People’, Yash Nayyar, where he expressed gratitude to all the teachers and students on the execution of the day’s proceedings. Finally a Lunch was organized for the department to end a fruitful day.
