ANNUAL LITERARY FEST- 'ODYSSEY' 2019

The Department of English, Sri Aurobindo College organized its Annual Literary Fest- 'Odyssey' on 24-25 January 2019. The chief guest of the event was acclaimed Indian author and editor Sh. Githa Hariharan, who spoke about the miracle of reading and the power of asking questions. Other guest speakers included Dr. Shatarupa Sinha, Assistant Professor of English, Gargi College who conducted a workshop on Academic Writing; and Ms. Deepti Chawla, Mentor Teacher with Directorate of Education, Govt. of NCT, Delhi who conducted an engaging workshop on Critical Thinking. The Annual Departmental Newsletter- 'Phoenix Pro Times' was also released on the occasion. 

Students from various colleges of Delhi University such as Hindu, Miranda, SRCC, Sri Venkateswara and IP University participated with great enthusiasm. In Slam Poetry, Miranda House bagged the first prize, while SRCC bagged the second prize in Creative Writing and Extempore. The two-day eclectic event ended with a panel discussion on recent trends in education.
